Welcome to the
NH Title XIX (NH Medicaid/Healthy Kids-Gold) Portal

The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is the agency through which the NH Title XIX (Medicaid/Healthy Kids - Gold) programs are administered. Medicaid is a federal and state funded health care assistance program for low income people aged 19 and older, and certain other individuals who lack adequate resources to pay for medical care. To qualify for Medicaid people must meet specific requirements, including income and resource limits. Healthy Kids-Gold is a DHHS program which provides health and dental insurance coverage for eligible persons under age 19.

The Division of Family Assistance determines financial and categorical eligibility, and Medicaid Administration determines medical eligibility when it is required. The Division for Children, Youth and Families, the Division of Behavioral Health, the Division of Developmental Services, and the Division of Elderly and Adult Services are responsible for the day-to-day operation of some NH Title XIX funded services and programs.medical tools image

NH Title XIX programs provide payment for medical services ranging from routine preventive medical care for children to institutional care for the elderly and disabled. NH Title XIX also helps ensure access to care through enrollment of medical providers, and access to transportation services to medical care providers through reimbursement to recipients and volunteer drivers.

NH Title XIX covered services are available statewide through medical providers who have enrolled and have executed a contract with DHHS. If you have questions regarding which services are covered under NH Title XIX, please research the fee schedule pages within this website, or call the EDS Communications Unit at 1-800-423-8303 (NH & VT only) or (603) 224-1747.
